This is a story along the lines of a family who appear to be drifting apart. Mum feels she has missed out on Life but doesnt know what to do about it, the kids are too wrapped up in their own thing, just expecting the meals and the laundry to be done and the husband in too involved in his work to notice.So... she takes on puppy training against the familys wishes and starts to lead a new and scary life. Things change for her,, new friends, new hair do ,, flirting with a bar man , the family going their way. The book has sadness in it, just to bring you back to reality and to be honest when I got to the end, after shedding a few tears ( I dont want to spoil anything) I was stunned to find out it was a novel!! Never ever have I been so drawn into a story before. I honestly thought it was a true life book its so well written and straight from the heart.Read it. you wont be disappointed. I wasnt.

You have to keep telling yourself that this book is a novel because the characters are so real, especially the puppy!! Wonderful book, will make you laugh and cry all at the same time. Great insight into the world of the puppy walker for guide dogs for the blind.

A lovely story
I also loved this book.
I know that part of the reason for this is that I'm also too close to 50 and own Labradors but even so, this book made me chuckle and cry.

Inspiring
Loved the book and looked into puppy walking for guide dogs as a result. Was certainly a life changing read.
