Product Description

Review

Monica Murphy succeeds in making a steamy romance between two characters with amazing chemistry and she turns a work of fiction into something so much more. It is a real, tangible, and beautiful thing (The Life of Fiction)

Full of secrets and heartache this is so much more than just a story of love, more like a journey of two lost hearts (Lisa Jayne (Goodreads))

The author had me hooked within the opening pages . . . All I have to say is pick up the book and be prepared for the roller coaster you are about to get on . . . You will not want to miss this book and this author (Shh Moms Reading)

I chose this book to be the book. The perfect book that would make the world stop for a few hours and suck me into another universe completely. The perfect book that would make my heart race and stop all at the same time. This book is that book! This book is perfect! (The Obsessive Reader)

4.0 out of 5 stars really good, bit rushed at the end (spoilers) 14 April 2013
By Kate
Format:Kindle Edition
i enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. the only slight negative is that it all seemed a bit rushed at the end, i thought something was going to happen with the colin/jen storyline but it didnt, it seemed to be brewing up and then nothing. i though colin MUST be up to no good but he wasnt and it hinted that jen might be helping him, but she wasnt. then when drews dad found out about everything it was one phonecall " yes thats fine all understood and forgiven then". it could have been 5 stars easily, it just seemed that storylines were startred and then forgotten

5.0 out of 5 stars EMOTIONAL ROLLER-COASTER 23 May 2013
By L. Sims TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In this second and final part to Drew and Fable's story. They have been apart for two months. After Drew's stepmothers revelation he has turned in on himself. His life is falling apart, he's falling apart. Fable is miserable without Drew, and things at home are not any better with her mother. She's still paying all the bills and looking out for her younger brother Owen.

When she gets a better job in an upmarket restaurant, her and Drew's paths cross. The connection between them is still very strong, it's not long before they are tentatively starting to see one another. But can their relationship survive everything that's coming.

This second part is much more emotional than the first book, and is even better IMO. I love both Drew and Fable they are such sympathetic characters. Everything about this story is intense, and makes for essential reading. It's one of those stories that you just can't put down. The love scenes between Drew and Fable are sensuous and passionate. The supporting characters are excellent as well. I loved Fable's younger brother Owen he was very well written.
Ms. Murphy has become an author to watch IMO. I will definitely be reading more of her work

You will have to read the book to understand the title. This sequel was brilliant and gave a good ending to the story. Can't wait for more by this author she has handled a very sensitive subject with great awareness and sensitivity. You must read the first book to understand the second. 4.0 out of 5 stars Love Fable & Drew but prefer book 1 21 July 2013
By Sarah
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved finding out what happened next for Drew and Fable, they are easily up there in my top 5 NA couples. There's such an intensity and passion in their romance which I find endearing. Seeing them grow together was beautiful and heart warming.

It was interesting that in this book we get more of a social context for the two of them. Seeing them in real life rather than the fake 1 week thing meant we got to know other characters. Owen I really liked. It's not a common relationship displayed in books I read, the big sister/little brother relationship, and given the unique family circumstances these two were really close. Meeting Jen and Colin was weird I thought though. I kind of got the impression we were supposed to suspect some drama from that quarter but I never really bought that red herring (if it was in fact intended to be one). It actually felt like they were there as a set up for a future book featuring them, I'm assuming that's not true but I would totally read that because the little pieces of info we got about them were definitely intriguing.

Why I can't mark this as high as OWG though is just because it didn't elicit that seem overwhelming emotional response from me. Don't get me wrong I found their romance believable and completely beautiful in all it's imperfections but the plot of this one just didn't take me along for the ride. The romance felt like a foregone conclusion and the drama lacked the suspense of book 1. I'm thrilled that I didn't have to sit through pages of torment of them being apart or arguing over some stupid misunderstanding, but I missed the 'will they or won't they' that we get in book 1.

I still love Fable and Drew though, and what a beautiful job the author made of creating their story.

4.0 out of 5 stars second chance boyfriend review 22 July 2013
By C
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok so I would give this book 3.5 stars. It was a good novel with an interesting storyline, surprising twists and had solid characters. However something was missing that I can't quite work out what that something is.

I just felt the story was quite slow moving and fable seems to forgive drew a bit too easily after the stunt he pulled at the end of the first novel. Then the climax at the end seemed rather rushed.

But I'm a sucker for HEA, so the ending definitely deserved a two thumbs up. Def worth a read, not something that I would necessarily read again though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Aaah! All good things must come to an end 28 July 2013
By Teaney
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
4.5 STARS

Such a good follow up sequel - really did not disappoint.

Continuation of the love story between Drew and Fable. Will not reveal too much, but for me who loves HEA and "hearts and flowers", I was left feeling satisfied and fulfilled.

Even though the main characters are only 21 and 20, I didn't find the writing to be young or babyish.

Loved the little quotes and sayings at the start of each chapter, they were really appropriate and very thought-provoking, well done for including them! Ended up staying up well into the early hours to read this book. Sad to see it end, but happy nonetheless. :)
