Eventually she will have to make the transition to full vix, but she'll worry about that later. Right now she has vampire hunters out to kill her and one very alpha vampire determined to claim her. Devon Knight has always cared for Jessie and having learned of the danger to her life sets out to not only ensure her safety, but claim her as his once and for all.

Rebecca Airies's contribution to this anthology is sure to be a hit with readers. The characters are larger than life, passionate and involved in situations that will have you holding your breath in anticipation of each new action-packed scene.

WENDY'S SUMMER JOB by Charlotte Boyett-Compo
Wendy Cole's stepmother is making her life a nightmare. Just because she doesn't agree with Wendy's choice of following her dreams and studying to be an actress, the witch has cut off all financial support which means Wendy has to find a job for the summer - fast! When she finds a business advertising for an `Extraordinary Receptionist' she applies and quickly learns that this job comes with many more perks than she could have anticipated - three hot brothers who are in dire need of her `services.'

This fairytale like story is simply delightful. While at first I wasn't sure what to think of Wendy's easy acceptance of the various `duties' assigned to her, I found her upbeat personality and enjoyment of her peculiar situation witty and exciting. In addition I got a huge kick out of the prologue to this story.

CHASING THE DRAGON by Megan Kerans
Raj Cad, The Dragon, hates the United Planetary Federation with a passion. There's no way he'd want anything to do with them and they know it, so why would they be sending yet another representative to see him? He denies Captain Ahnat's request for an audience but when he learns that the captain is a woman changes his mind. Captain Jade Ahnat's visit to The Dragon isn't just because of the UPF. Her sister, like thousands of others, is suffering from the Dark Sickness and Dragon's Eyes seeds are the only hope to cure them. Can Cad and Jade reach an agreement that will satisfy everyone involved?

I have to confess, I loved this story and not just because it's full of hot sweaty sex either! I was fascinated by Cad's rogue attitude and his tough persona while it's so obvious that he's falling for Jade. They're wonderful characters stuck in a world that doesn't understand them or their needs.

VIKING'S PLEDGE by Melany Logen
Mista's fondest desire is to return home to Ireland and her family but she can't deny a longing for her master Raynor. She's been caring for his son Advar ever since his birth and adores the child, someone else will care for him once she's gone, won't they? Raynor definitely wants Mista, only she's a thrall and he desires her as his wife. The discovery that she wishes to return to her native home breaks his heart but he can't deny her happiness - even if it costs him everything.

As a longtime reader of Viking tales I found this story to be highly enjoyable and really loved the passionate nature of the characters. Mista's torn between her desire to return home and her affection for Advar and Raynor. Raynor's torn between his duty to family and his desire to make Mista his wife. I couldn't wait to find out how this one would end.

TAKING IT ALL by Cheyenne McCray
Lisa Peterson is bored with her average vanilla life. She longs for something more exciting and fulfilling. She just may have finally found that special someone to make her life worth living when she literally backs her car into a man. Instead of taking her insurance information Brad Akers asks her to join him for drinks. She's exactly his sort of woman and he's determined to find out if she's the submissive of his dreams.

Cheyenne McCray became an `auto buy' author for me a long time ago and this story shows exactly why! Even with a short story she's talented enough to combine characters readers can care about, a thrilling plot and sex scenes hot enough to scald even the most hardened readers.

Ellora's Cave brings readers the newest Cavemen anthology with SEASONS OF SEDUCTION II. Between the covers of this book you will find a variety of genres by six very talented authors. These stories are all full of emotional appeal, realistic characters, plots that keep the reader riveted to the pages and of course, plenty of sex scenes for readers to salivate over (be sure not to drool into the keyboard if you're reading an e-book).

In Chasing the Dragon, part of the Ellora's Cavemen, Seasons of Seduction II anthology, Megan's creative talents are unleashed. From her prophetic words of wisdom spoken by her gorgeous virile stud, Cad, to her elaborate description of this futuristic universe, this author takes the reader on a fantastic journey into another world.

Cad, is the last of the RAJ warriors after the UPF murdered all of his comrades. Now, Jade, a Captain of the UPF needs the healing power from Cad's precious Dragon Eye flowers to save her people. Cad will sell Jade the flowers, but at a price.
Forced to endure a life of sterilization, Jade longs to touch and taste the impure. She gladly surrenders her body to Cad in payment for the flowers, even though she knows he despises her and her people.

Cad's anger quickly turns to awe as he watches Jade experience his forbidden touch. Now, he's in danger of losing his heart to the woman he'd planned to use for revenge.

Not only is the passion flaming, but Megan's use of metaphors also draws the reader into this mythical world, such as, "Jade's thick lashes lifted with the slow grace of sunbeams at dawn."

If you're a fan of erotic romance and looking for a real scorcher, pick up this anthology. Chasing the Dragon is sure to burn up the pages.

I have been enjoying the short stories Ellora's Cave have been putting together. But this one is just way too far gone in the sub/dom thing. Really not my thing and just felt wrong for me. Anyway skip this title. Not worth it.
