A wonderful, inspirational book linking our bodily needs and diets to the seasons. It makes sense that we need different things throughout the year, both nutritionally and psychologically. This book is full of detailed information about supplements to take, foods, and plans that are achievable. What is clever about this book, is that once read, you can go back to each chapter and use it as a reference to see how you can optimize every month of every year. For anyone wanting to make natural and healthy changes to their lives in an easy to read format that is well researched and brilliantly informative this book is a must!

This is a really enjoyable, informative and practical book. It's written in a very clear and straightforward style, by someone who obviously knows her topic inside out. There are many fascinating nuggets, as well as countless practical suggestions for making it easier to become and stay healthy. It now seems obvious to me, with the hindsight of having read this book, that an awareness of the seasons, and of keeping aligned with them, is going to be very beneficial. I have started putting these ideas into practice and look forward to continuing.

I read "Seasonal Awareness and Wellbeing" in one sitting on a plane journey. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a flowing and interesting read. I don't usually keep books once I've finished them but I'm keeping this one as I plan to dip into it at the beginning of every month. I'm someone who often feels taken by surprised and thrown off by the change of season. It can take me a while to adjust to obvious things like the right clothing for the weather. Thanks to reading Seasonal Awareness, I felt better prepared for November this year and I even looked forward to it. For the first time ever, I had my gloves ready when I needed them. I also stocked up on candles and was prepared to make the house look cosier as the clocks went back. I imagine that the greater ease with which I transitioned into this month will be repeated with each month. The book is a great reminder that throughout the year there are different things to enjoy, different ways of looking after oneself, and even different ways of reflecting on one's life. I also found the historical and cultural references very interesting. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
