5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking good read! 26 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Ms Laurens does it again. Two short stories with connecting characters. In the first, Tangled Reins, she tells the story of Dorothea and Marc and in the second, Fair Juno, that of Helen and Martin. Both are stories of women who do not particularly wish to marry and of the men who persuade them otherwise (or try to). These are feisty women with minds of their own who make the men work for their prize. Ms Laurens writes excellent regencies which are filled with humour and sensuality. These characters know and like themselves and enjoy life and each other... eventually. An excellent read and I can't wait til the next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Caution: this is a reprint! 26 Jan 2006
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is an enjoyable REPRINT of 'Tangled reins' (1992) and 'Fair Juno' (1994) which were released under this title in 2001. Both are obviously early works of Ms Laurens, but while away a pleasant few hours.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed! 5 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I have read and really enjoyed many of Miss Laurens'books but I was truly disappointed when I read this one. If the women have strong nice personalities, the men have nothing special! When one of the heroines disapears, (she had been kidnapped in the past and maybe has been abducted again), the hero, keeps on playing his game of cards and take all his time to find her, what would the "ton" thinks if he would rush?!?!? In the second novel, he decides to wait the next morning because he had a bit too much to drink! They do not deserve to get the heart of those 2 ladies!
