I caught quite a lot of mediocre stand-up comedy in 2013. It's really disappointing to go to the theatre expecting some seriously side-splitting anecdotes only to leave just very mildly amused, which unfortunately happened on too many occasions for me last year. Fortunately, Seann Walsh is keeping his end up and has gone some way to restore my faith in stand-up. I didn't catch this at a theatre, I bought it for my Husband for Christmas because we're always pleased to see Seann on the Buzzcocks panel. It was a nice surprise present for the Husband because we never actually remembered his name and always just referred to him as the Lion Man because of the mane. I hardly ever re-watch any DVDs, but this one will definitely get a few replays because it was funny all the way through and got many LOLs from both of us. I also liked the format, which flowed nicely and wasn't too bitty. I paid a lot more than a fiver for this but I'm not bitter because it's worth twice the price in my opinion. In the past, my Husband and I have sometimes paid out fifty quid for a pair of theatre tickets for comedy that isn't a patch on this, so a fiver is a total steal! Good work Seann - we're really looking forward to the next one.
