I bought the Sealife ECOshot SL321 a few weeks prior to my first diving vacation Philippines, Nov 2008.
It has been a major disappointment in terms of picture quality and functionality.
The camera is somewhat weak in both ends of the color spectrum (red+blue) so all pictures becomes pale/grey/turqoise - even near the surface.
The flash does not work in macro-mode and is useless for most more remote targets if the water is not extremely clear: Strongly illuminated particulate matter in front of the camera will outshine the intended "background" target as flash and lense is too close.
The films are ok apart from the color weakness mentioned above.
Batteries are eaten in no time - get expensive ones.
On the good side : SL321 does seem to keep the water out fine.

My prior experience is limited to a decent amount of on-land amateur photography. That might have been a weakness of this review but my dive instructor who was a experienced underwater photographer tried the camera too during a full dive and came to the same conclusions.

I cannot really recommend buying this camera: With a limited budget for underwater photography you will be much better served renting a decent camera from your divecenter for a day or two at each vacation.
