I bought one of these back in January, and was so pleased with it that I've just taken delivery of a second one. These really are plug and play. Just fit the drive into the appropriate mounting, plug 2 wires in and switch the PC back on. My PC is quite old, but even so the BIOS automatically sensed the drive and reconfigured itself. After loading Windows XP, I formatted the drive and did some benchmark tests. Data transfer rates were just a bit under 100Mb, which is what the manufacturer says. The drive is very quiet and I've never yet had a Barracuda fail on me having used them for over 20 years now.
What more can I say - does the job perfectly and at a great price.

fantastic drives - i've bought a good few over the past couple of years and have yet to have any problems. i was swayed recently to go for a samsung 500GB drive due to the price, but it'll not happen again. 6 monhs in and the samsung developed a few bad sectors and we almost lost our baby photo's...
