David Cordingley's books are always good. Apart from the detail of information they are rich in entertainment - you are always guaranteed to come away having learnt something new.

An extremely good in-depth factual account of all aspects of women's connections with the sea or with sailors. An insight into the lives of port doxies through to women pirates and female sailors then on to nautical heroines. Brilliantly written to David Cordingly's usual high standard. I can strongly recommend this book to both men and women.
