Wow! What an exciting read that was! The author,
right from the first paragraph had me hooked, so much so that I read the
book in three hours on our journey home from our Norfolk holiday!
Hannah, her brother Ned and their friend Jik a Sea Gypsy from Ular, find
themselves on a tresure hunt to find the Moon Pearl that was hidden on
Babi Besar know as Big Pig Island. Jik is the only one who knows where
the pearl is buried, he was told by his grandmother before she died. Their
journey saw them in a shipwrecked dapang, encountering box jellyfish,
Tiger sharks, typoons and the menacing Sea Wolf that was out to kill them. What an intriguing twist there was in the end!
I think that it is a great read for children aged 9+ as well as most
adults (my dad is reading it) I can't wait for Leopards Claw.

Brother and sister Ned and Hanna and their friend Jik are back with some more electrifying adventures. You will be gripped again by the nail-biting scrapes that they get into.
There's pirates, sharks, sinking oil-tankers and much more.
This book is divided into readable chapters that will encourage all older children (and adults) to read.
The descriptions are real and authentic; David has based the adventures on his own personal experiences - cool eh!
The plot is different to Shark Island, but you won't be disappointed.
Now you'll know what to spend your Christmas money on!
Guess what? In July 2010 David's third book, Leopard's Claw, is being published. Can't wait.

All my family enjoyed the first book (Shark Island) as it was so exciting and found this one even more compelling.Would definitely recommend it.
