I gave this product to my younger sister for her 11th birthday. Though, for some reason, the product was not the one I had chosen my sister has had immense fun setting everything up and watching the sea monkeys come to life.
Although there was some confusion with the product I had ordered the delivery was quick and the product was of high quality.The price was also very suitable.
They were easy to set up and have been interesting to observe (involving most of the family coming round and taking a look). There were lots and lots of sea monkeys to begin with however, two of them teamed up and ate the rest. 'Charlie' and 'Lola' as my sister calls them have now been producing children non-stop and we are now starting to think about getting a larger tank.
I have been very pleased with the outcome (even with the small hiccup) and recomment sea monkeys as a 'fun and silly' present for all ages.
NB: Don't panic if they don't hatch straight away and if they don't work the first time try again!

I expected this to be as simple as putting the powder in water, place beside light and feed every now again. Was disappointed with these, myself and son payed great attention to these, followed instructions and also looked online to make sure we get the most out of our sea monkeys :) Nothing happened, saw a few tiny particles floating in the water, they didnt swim, get bigger or change colour despite constant TLC from my six year old.
overall it was a pretty expensive kit just to keep dirty water in.

I bought this product for my 8 year old son.It was great. All sea monkeys hacheted. And they were so much fun.They changed colours every 3 months.And it was so cool in the dark because the ship was glowing.But at the end the sea monkeys died.
