I wasn't sure wether or not to buy this book, as it seemed to me it might not be as good as Mr Cobbs other books, but, with nothing else on the shelves to interest me, and having read his other Novels, I decided to take the chance. I'm very glad I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially as Mr Cobb gives Amanda Lee Garret a human side, showing her fears and desires despite being A senior officer. I also thought the African General was a good character, as, though he was in effect a Dictator, he was doing what he was doing for what he thought were the best of reasons. I thoroughly enjoy Authors like Mr Cobb, Tom Clancy, CLive Cussler, and Stephen Coonts, to name but a few, who tend to base all there books around the same character. Tom Clancy's 'Jack Ryan', and Clive Cusslers 'Dirk Pitt' for example. I prefer to read paperbacks, and can't wait for Mr Cobbs next book.
