Product Description

Product Description

"You owe it to yourself to discover Rowan's fiction if you haven't already had the pleasure." (Jeff Vandermeer, two-time winner of the World Fantasy Award)

When John is sent to stay with his sister in a small fishing village on the North Yorkshire coast, his parents thought that it would give him a chance to get over the tragedy that happened at school.

But when John arrives in Saltcliff, he is threatened by a strange old man who has waited years for him to appear, he is followed by a mysterious black dog, and he learns that he has a part to play in an ancient legend that is older than the village itself.

Can John leave the tragedies of his past behind and find the courage to save the village? And most important of all, can he stay out of the mist...

Sea Change is a Young Adult novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good down-to-earth adventure 6 Jan 2012
By Zee
Format:Kindle Edition
This was one great booky after having one-too-many angels and vampires in every other page! Very down-to-earth and thus more real a read with a touch of mysticism. One you can identify with.
Loved the descriptions of sea, scenery, settings of the story-they are so realistic, it made me feel as if I was there.
Thanks!

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth reading! 8 Dec 2012

This book starts a little slowly, but please persevere with it as it speeds up nicely around half way through, becoming un-put-downable! Great read, especially for a free book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully creepy, powerful story 9 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I love this one. I read it a while back, and it's the kind of book that, as a writer, you both love and hate to find. I hated it because it was a book I wished I'd written myself, but I hadn't... And I loved it because, well, it's well-written, moving, a gripping tale with engaging characters, and above all it's a novel with a superb sense of place - something that always marks Rowan's writing out as something special.
