5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful piano from the master 22 April 2004
Format:Audio CD
My Rick Wakeman collection exceeds 60 (sixty!) CDs. Only a handful of themare as beautiful, touching and inspiring as Sea Airs.
Each one of the piano songs on Sea Airs are much better than "good", theyare truly exceptional. The songs are very evocative and melancholic, yetoverflowing with melody and beauty.
It doesn't matter if you are into heavy, power, black, doom, speed, thrashmetal fan, Sea Airs will keep you satisfied and in complete musicalequilibrium. Do yourself a favor and get this CD asap!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Piano album! 19 Dec 2001
Format:Audio CD
The master once again composes classic tracks. Very good album. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is that i prefer his too piano album Country Airs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very inspired solo piano from the master 28 Jun 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Sea airs, recorded in 1989, is another solo piano release along with the "air" cd's (night airs and country airs). Personally, I think Sea airs is the best of this trilogy, with kind of sad, minor-key songs. It is an easy-going cd ideal for quiet relaxation.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Wakeman's best, yet most unrecognized gems 2 Jun 2004

My Rick Wakeman collection exceeds 60 (sixty!) CDs. Only a handful of them are as beautiful, touching and inspiring as Sea Airs (IMO the best of the "Airs" trilogy). Each piano song on Sea Airs is exceptional and played on accoustic piano (a major plus). Title songs are spot on, giving you an idea of what is to come (ie. Sailor's Lament, The Mermaid, The Harbour, Clouds, Lost at Sea, et al). The songs are very evocative and melancholic, yet overflowing with melody and beauty.
It makes no differenece if you are into heavy, power, black, doom, speed, thrash metal, pop, hip-hop or rap, Sea Airs will keep you satisfied and in complete musical equilibrium. Do yourself a favor and get this CD asap!

4.0 out of 5 stars Airs are worth the cost. 16 Jan 2009
By Timothy E. Kendrick - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Sea Airs, Night Airs and Country Airs are some of the best of Wakeman's new age music. Embracing a relaxed, earthy style they remind me of Pink Floyd's development of a style of music that evokes color, emotion and a sense of wonder. The dramatics are not there, but Wakeman seems to embrace his muse with affection and great respect.
Definitely not elevator music but it can be played for background color in a number of different venues. All three are worth owning whether you are a Wakeman fan or not.

is not very good as the idea of country airs, is good yes but, again is missing feeling everything, if you want a piano album like rick best buy, the heritage suite, or preludes to a century, just for fans!
