the children in nursery absolutely love this story and ask for it again and again. The bear is so cunning and we love the way he uses his imagination with each creature to describe the mice in different ways.

I love this story! It tells the tale of six mice who need the help of Scruffy Bear to make it through the woodland without becoming dinner to one of the creatures that lurks there looking for prey! Ingenious story-telling with first-class illustrations that might become a children's storybook classic in years to come. Highly recommended!

Colourful and engaging, this picture book takes the reader on a visual journey. The characters capture imagination the same way all Chris's book do. I'd thoroughly recommended this to friends with kids.
