Book Description

2 Dec 2011
It is so important to write down what you are learning so you will never forget! This is a study journal to help you study and record what you are learning in your scriptures as you study individual TOPICS. As you study various TOPICS, there is a basic outline on each page that allows you to write down things such as: definitions, scriptures that teach about that topic, favorite quotes and your own personal thoughts and insights. Start now and record all of the amazing things the scriptures are teaching you right now in your life! Plus... what amazing gift to leave your posterity! There is also a companion journal available that helps you focus on individual CHAPTERS. The two journals are complimentary in nature and organized in a way that you can reference your journals to each other. So if you study a few different chapters about "Faith" and write all about it in your CHAPTER journal (but they are scattered throughout your journal), you can reference them to each other as well as to your page in your TOPIC journal so everything is nicely organized and easy to find! Both types of journals come with a set of instructions and a "Table of Contents" in the front so you can title your pages and find things easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Scripture Journal 14 Jan 2012
By Phoenix Mom - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought one and then when it came I knew that I needed to have one for every family member. They are colorful and well made. They are so helpful in keeping me on track for Scripture Study. I really like the way they are set up inside as they give you some direction but it does not take away from putting your ideas and thoughts down.
Will buy more as I need them.

By Saglamb - Published on Amazon.com

This journal is exactly what I was looking for to help my scripture study be more effective. I like filling out the entries that it provides which helps me spend more time thinking about the scriptures. I like the way it helps me organize my thoughts and other references I find relating to the scriptures I am reading.
5.0 out of 5 stars Topic study 23 Jan 2013

A well-organized journal for studying scriptures to follow a specific idea...charity, for example. Nice outlined pages to keep you on track, and know which scriptures you've looked at.
5.0 out of 5 stars Scripture Study Aid 22 Jun 2012
By primarylady - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Since I've always struggled with the concept of 'studying' scriptures, this journal came into my life at the perfect time. I feel like a scholar! I've bought a second one just to use to study the General Conference talks. I plan to give several of these for Christmas gifts this year. Thank you, Shannon Foster!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected 18 July 2012
By coffeedrinker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is not at all what I expected. from the other two reviews I thought it would be a journal where I could jot down info about passages I read in the bible, like setting, characters, meaning. the way it's laid out is at the top of a page it has a line for you to write down the doctrine or principle, then a section for a definition. Underneath that there is a box divided into two, on the left side you write down the scripture reference that relates to the doctrine/principal and on the right hand side you write down what that scripture reference teaches you. Then the entire bottom half of the page is a place for you to write your favorite quotes and a little box on the bottom of the page for you to write down other journals you have written about this topic (I don't even know what that means). The facing page is an entire page for you to write down your personal thoughts and insights. the page has lines on it (44 to be exact) and the line spacing is tiny so if you have large handwriting you will need to accommodate and write really small or take up two lines for every sentence. There is no way I would take up an entire page (and the page is larger than 8.5 X 11) of lines spaced that closely together. There are 101 pages so you have space to document 50 principle/doctrine. I'm sending it back.
