This book is an invaluable aid for students of film or anyone who would like a greater insight in to screen craft.
With reference to scenes from films as diverse as 'Wild Strawberries' and 'A Few Dollars More', Cherry Potter illustrates her concepts with an eloquent and clear approach that enables the reader to engage the subject in an understandable coherent manner.
Of particular note are the exercises and suggestions dealing with the practical issue of idea gathering and the creative process.
My lasting impression of Screen Language is that it simply made me want to write and for that alone I cant recommend it highly enough.
