In the aftermath of the second round of killings, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has retreated to a house in the middle of nowhere and works as a phone counselor. But her life is about to be shaken up once again when a new round of killings begin. At first she tries to ignore them, but when the killer calls her at home, she realizes she has no choice.

The new round of killings seem to be centered around the production of Stab 3. As the cast begins to fear for their lives, Sidney teams up with Gale Weather s (Courtney Cox Arquette) and Dewey Riley (David Arquette). Why is the killer leaving pictures of Sid's mother on the victims? Who will survive the latest blood bath?

This is generally considered the weakest entry in the series, and the arguments against it have good merit. Neve Campbell wasn't available for the full production, and Sidney's decreased presence really hurt the film since the franchise has always been about her. Original scribe Kevin Williamson isn't back at all, and this film doesn't quite have the same satirical punch of the first two. And the ending seems rather farfetched and out there even for this franchise.

Despite these weaknesses, I can't help but enjoy the film. While the jokes aren't in the same manner, there are still some funny moments in the film. The suspense in the few scenes is still very intense. And the final fight is very nicely done.

While I can understand the complaints, I still enjoy this film. It frightens and provides a few laughs along the way. If you've enjoyed the first two, you'll want to give this one a stab.

This is a great ending to a brilliant set of slasher films! I feel this movie is just as great as the second Scream in that it once again delivers the shocks and scares and laughs and cliche slasher rule scenes that you expect! The cast is good again and it parodies itself and the horror genre in so many ways and thats part of what makes it brilliant and original. Great trilogy of films that will always remain classics!!

AWESOME! 8 Aug 2011
Format:DVD
SCREAM 3, despite being the worst of the first three, was highly entertaining! I jumped a dozen times, and just when i thought it was over, i jumped out of my skin in terror! The laughs were bigger too! I laughed almost as much as i jumped! This is the least gory of the series, but also the most scary! The acting was, as usual, fabulous! Neve Campbell hit every button correctly, as did Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The storyline was filled to the brim with drama and action, it had everything! This film was absolutely brilliant! Lots of scares, laughs and blood! I highly recommend it! AWESOME! 10/10!

Jumpy thriller
Still makes you jump, even after seeing it several times. Can be quite tense in parts.

Springy script, but why have the screams gone?
On the set of Stab 3 the cast are targeted by a serial killer using the same disguise as with Sidney Prescott (Campbell) who is once again brought into the equation. Read more

It makes you squeal in delight rather than scream in fright
Ok, the first 'Scream' is excellent. No doubt. Its first sequel was a dull film, reiterating the same tricks, which is boring. Read more
