If you are either new to the world of Hip Hop DJ's and turntablism or "scratching" or you are a well seasoned vet, this DVD is for you. A fantastic display of skill and style, from the old to the new. This DVD will give you great insight in to the culture of scratch. From hip-hop DJ's, rappers, graf-bombers, to break dancers. Interviews and tips from the likes of Africa Bambatta, Grandmixer DXT, DJ QBERT and Mix Master Mike, DJ Premier, The X-Ecutioners, to DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, and more. The talent is endless as well as the enjoyment one gets right from the opening credits, to the live performances as well as an informative acompanying "HOW-TO" DVD. This is not just a movie, or a history lesson, it is a tribute to the true heads and those in the world of Hip-Hop.

Forgotten Heroes 5 Sep 2004
Format:DVD
This takes you on an indepth walk through the true valleys of hip hop history. Scratch shows true love to the real driving force behing hip hop before it became just anoher commodity. TRUE RESPECT IS PAID TO THE DJ'S.
If you feel that as great as rap music is today, as much as it sounds good...it is loosing its soul. So few MC's show true respect to their Dj's... some dont even have one.
I know its a documentary...but its story of our forgotten heroes. Get this! Show respects. Peace!!

Where it all began 7 April 2012
By Stunter
Format:DVD
First caught this on Channel 4 fairly soon after release and it just blew me away. The passion that the originators of turntablism had for the music, the breaks and, most importantly of all, keeping the party going really comes through on this excellent film. It's a fascinating insight into how dj-ing moved from the discos of the 70's onto the streets and beyond. The fact that you can now buy this for less than a fiver makes it an absolute no-brainer purchase. Anyone with the slightest interest in music in general would enjoy this: it's not elitist. You don't have to be a vinyl junkie or a bedroom dj: you just have to love music like these guys do. That's what it's all about. Enjoy.
