This is a beautiful book. There are patterns for 30 quilts with the option of traditional template piecing (full sized templates included) or rotary cutting & quick piecing. I want to make all of the quilts apart from maybe two. There are both traditional and modern styles and some with a twist. There are instructions for size variations along with the necessary fabric requirements. Most of the quilts can be made in either twin, full, queen or king sizes. At the back of the book you will find about 20 pages with step by step photos showing everything you need to know about quilt making. I have lots of patchwork/quilting books but this is the one I would save from the waves on my desert island.

Wonderful Scrap Quilts 6 Nov. 2001
By E. Pennington - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I LOVE this book. The directions are clear, the quilts are all beautifully illustrated and include templates. There are some unusual patterns included as well, like a 1920's teacup quilt. In addition, there are size variations included so that you will know how to take a twin pattern and enlarge it to a king-size etc., The book will also tell the reader IF it is not recommended that a pattern be enlarged. This book is a keeper!
