are featured in this book from the Salmon `Favourite Recipe' series.

'Scottish baking is renowned worldwide and this book, a companion to Favourite Scottish Recipes, contains an assortment of mouth-watering cakes, bannocks, breads and biscuits. Compiled by Johanna Mathie, the recipes provide an excellent selection for a traditional Scottish tea.'

Paperback format with 48 high quality pages covering 34 recipes.

This charming little book opens with an alphabetical list of the recipes contained within. Each recipe opens with the title, the list of ingredients plus the method. Metric Conversion tables are given on the last page before a complete list of the titles in the Salmon series on the inside back cover.

Interspersed with sepia photographs, my particular favourite being of 'Glencoe, Argyllshire', alongside a hearty recipe for:-

'Girdle Scones'.

Other recipes include:-

Abernethy Biscuits
Ayrshire Shortbread
Border Tart
Butterscotch Ice Cream
Dundee Cake
Honey and Whisky Cake
Marmalade Cake
Oatcakes
Petticoat Tails
Scotch Pancakes
Selkirk Bannock
Treacle Scones
