This is a really helpful book for those who want to learn more about how to go about tracing their Scottish Roots. A lot of genealogy books are quite dry but Bruce has a great sense of humour and this comes through in his book.

In his third edition of Scottish Genealogy, Professor Bruce Durie provides the most fantastic, readable, accessible, and fully comprehensive guide to help people research their family histories if they have Scottish ancestors. Thoroughly knowledgable, exceptionally well researched, with many helpful links and ideas, this is, without doubt, the definitive guide - if you only want ONE book to inform you how to trace your Scottish family history, then this has to be the ONE.

Scottish Genealogy was hard reading and I lost interest because of pressure of work. I hope to pick it up later.
