This book contains some more mordern plays by Scottish playwrights. Key plays being "Brothers of Thunder" by Ann Marie Di Mambro which deals with the strong issues of Aids and gays in the community and peoples attitudes towards them. A sometimes comical but over all very serious play. "Passing Places" by Stephen Greenhorn introduces the element of comedy and Scottish humour where Alex and Brian are on the run from a crazed gangster after stealing a surfboard?. these plays and many more including "Writers Cramp" are all great plays not only for an entertaining read but for students studying theatre or acting like myself. A very useful book for this purpose also. Highly recomended.
