This is an excellent and invaluable book for anyone at all interested in gardening. Cox's reviews are interesting, informative, occasionally funny and enticing enough to make you want to see for yourself. My wife and I make a point of visiting any nearby gardens when on holiday in Scotland. Although Cox identifies gardens that are open as part of Scotland's Garden Schemes, it would be handy to have actual dates. Having the latest schedule for open days along with this book is a must for the serious or even amateur gardener.
