Protects against oily stains! Helps keep fabrics on sofas and armchairs looking new for longer. Specially formulated for furnishing fabrics, Scotchgard soft furnishings protector forms an invisible barrier to protect textiles from water, wine, coffee or oily stains. Makes stain cleaning easier. Scotchgard Protectors form an invisible barrier which repels water-based liquid such as rain, wine and coffee and helps protect against stains. Trust Scotchgard Protectors to protect your clothes or soft furnishings, helping them stay looking new and clean for longer. But without altering the look, feel or breath ability of fabrics.
Directions
Read and carefully follow all instructions. Use only in well ventilated areas. Use only on clean, dry or new fabrics. Do a preliminary trial on a discrete spot and allow to dry overnight. This will check the colourfastness or possible negative effects on the look and feel of the fabrics. Shake can well. Hold the can upright, 20 cm away from the surface of the fabric. Lightly spray the entire area of fabric uniformly with a slow sweeping motion, initially from side to side, and then repeat the action from top to bottom. Do not saturate and immediately wipe excess spray (i.e. "run offs") Allow to dry overnight before use (a minimum of 12 hours) Test for repellency. A drop of water should form an instant bead on the surface of the fabric. Periodically re-test fabric for repellency. Durability of protection varies with wear. Reapply after cleaning to maintain protection. Protect the non textile furniture parts, over-spray could change the appearance of wood, plastic or painted metal surfaces. Do not use on finished or varnished leather, imitation leather, plastic or rubber. The solvents or white deposits may destroy the appearance of your article.

I have used this product to protect sofas and chairs in both my own home and properties I rent out.
It is easy to apply and really does help protect the fabric of the furniture.
Oredering and Delivery was so simple it was a lot easier than trawling around the shops looking for it!

I purchased this product when I purchased our new van. The furniture is light beige moquet(sorry about spelling) & suede effect material, so thought it best to protect it with Scotchgard.
Just as well I did because in the first few weeks I managed to spill neat Perno over one seat cushion and on the carpet. Red wine over two other seat cushions and a back cushion, and finally a cup of black sweetened coffee over the other seat cushion and carpet.
AND I WAS NOT, repeat NOT drunk - I am just accident prone. Just reach for a magazine and wham a glass & contents on the floor - you know what I mean.
Anyway - if you are anything like me in this respect - this product is a must. All these spills were just mopped up with kitchen roll, followed by a wet (water only) facecloth, & finally a dry facecloth. Later when dry there are no marks or traces of anything at all having been spilt anywhere. Phew! what a relief I'd seen this & bought it.
Recommend strongly.

Works at first but after time effect fades.
Used on my car seats and I did a liquid test and it does work however, it does need re-applying. The barrier protection fades due to use of the car seats etc.

Scotchguard
Used this on my new car upholstery. I thought it went a long way (it is a small car). Didn't quite use a full can and had sprayed plenty on twice.

Good protection
Used this on fabric dining chairs to protect from kids greasy fingers and spillages from drinks etc. Would buy again if it hadn't doubled in price in 8 months.

Easy peasy
clean the furniture with shampoo, allow to dry, & spray. OK till next Christmas. Just wipe off the grubby fingermarks
