4.0 out of 5 stars Good dvd but... 9 Nov 2006
By the zoo
The Scorpions have been around for a long time and still going strong. Having lost touch with some of their output after "Savage Amusement" I thought it would be a good idea to get this DVD to see what they were up to these days. Having watched the concert DVD I found it to be very good and it is great to see Rudolf and Co still rocking away even if some of them are in their 50's. The songs are an even mix of old and new, if like me you are not familiar with the new, then they do grow on you...'New Generation' particulrly stands out. But the old songs like 'Holiday', 'Big City Nights' are a joy to hear, still as fresh as ever. Quibbles? Crowd seem rather tame and quiet which gives the concert a sort MTV music video feel with crowd shots stuck in. Not sure if the DVD was shot on one night as the title suggests, reason drummer changes T-shirt in between shots of some songs and Rudolf's flying V occasionally changes colour. Also editing could have been a lot better too many shots of cameramen wandering about on stage. In all loved the concert, set list brilliant, but found myself watching for discrepencies a little too much. Still woth a look though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff but a lame crowd 27 April 2008
Good Mix of old and new, usual Scoprions classics, but I'm not sure if the crowd were actually alive.
I think James Kottak the drummer must have been complaining about being hidden away before the video was shot as they seem to love him and ever changing tee-shirts.
Worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good mix of Scorpions' material. 5 Aug 2008
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
There's a variety of Scorpions' songs here - all are up to their usual standard. It's great that they're still going strong after so many years.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Good Stuff 28 Sep 2009
Very diappointing. I love the Scorps but this is filled with a poor song selection and all the 'stage banter' in German! Oh god!
