I am extremely disappointed with this product. Each time I try to cut a slice from a large piece of Cheddar the cutting blade bends making it, not only extremely hard work to cut through the cheese, but impossible to cut an even slice. The blade has bent so far when it reaches the recess slot that it does not fit into it and catches on the wooden base. I presume this product is only for small, thin pieces of cheese, if so, I wish it had been stated in the product description.

I got this cheese slicer to replace my marble one that fell on the floor and cracked, I was not very impressed with it as the slicer was badly alligned and it was too small. I got another marble one within two weeks. Much better.

This does cut through the cheese very easily, unfortunately it has a tendency to get bits of cheese caught in the gap where the wire goes, meaning you have to spend some time cleaning it out after each use. Not much of a labour-saving device because of this.

yes it is only a cheese board,it is a fine product easy to keep clean,with a sturdy but fine wire,also included are spare blades,should you need them. Read more
