1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointing, 30 Jan 2007
By Oliver Phillips - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Bought this for my 7-year old son for Christmas, and was looking forward to doing it with him. However, after about 45 minutes we had to give up. The instructions were almost useless, with none of the parts clearly identified. Having eventually fathomed out how to construct the thing, the pins used to clamp wires together were absolutely useless. I should have sent back to get a refund, but never got round to it. I'm surprised the Science Museum put their name to something this shoddy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't get it to work, 12 Jan 2008
Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my nephew as a Christmas present. He couldn't get it to work so my boyfriend and I, both physics graduates, had a go. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't work. Can only conclude that one or more of the components is faulty. The connections are rubbish and the instructions vague. The theory isn't really explained at all, so while there is some limited educational value in finding all this out, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm very disappointed because I expected better from the Science Museum.
