About the Author
The author's background is one of science and technology. He began his technical career in the field of semiconductor research and has published books and articles on a wide variety of subjects. He began his serious writing career with a book on semiconductor physics. Becoming an electronics design engineer then inspired him to write on the subject of electronics. Subsequently he worked for many years as a technical publications manager, where his interests in science, technology, electronics, logic, software and writing all came together. It was in this capacity that he gained a reputation for being able to make even the most complex matters seem easy to understand, and this same skill has been utilised to its fullest in this work that addresses the ultimate mysteries of mankind: the meaning of life itself. The author now works full-time as a freelance writer and he, his wife, and their two married children, all live in the South of England.
