Santa brought this for my 2 1/2 year old son and he absolutely loves it. I remember this product, or at least something very similar, from the '80s. As my son in penguin crazy we decided to go for it.
So far it has been used every day since Christmas (13 days), sometimes left on for 15 - 20 mins at a time and is still going strong on the original battery. The 3 penguins can be left to climb the stairs and slide down the chute for as long as you like, or you can lift them on and off too.
I only have one complaint - the noise! It would be a better product (or at least a little more parent friendly) if the speaker could be switched off. The constant penguin "squeaks" do drive you crazy very quickly - but it doesn't seem to bother my son.
Good value and great fun - I recommend it!

I had one of these toys as a child and thought it was the best toy ever!!! I therefore bought one for my nephew who was 2 years old and Suprise Surprise! He loved it too. We spent a fantastic 2 hours playing with the penguins, watching them go round and round and up and down. It is definitely still as much fun today as it was 25 years ago.

Bought it for my two year old neice and she loves watching the penguins slide down the...er...slide. It's not very durable as you'll find the toddlers will want to carry it with them....otherwise it's strong enough.
Assembly wasn't a problem even without any decent instructions.
okay, okay i'll be honest...er...I quite like watching the penguins also, but the D size battery lasts long enough for the kids to enjoy it also.
