I have used a lot of various purple shampoos, conditioners, treatments, and leave in products, and this is the best thing I have encountered so far. The problem I have found with most high street shampoos is that they hardly contain any purple pigment at all and are mainly white- the ones that did have a lot of purple pigment in hardly affected my hair at all.
I have short bleach blonde hair and prefer it look quite white rather than a natural looking colour. My hair became very yellow and I tried MANY products, none of which seemed to have any effect. I have tried the popular 'Touch of Silver' brand, and can honestly say that I noticed a difference the first time I used it, but after that it didn't seem to have any further effect.
I haven't tried many salon brands before, however I had my hair washed at a salon recently and they used this shampoo. The result afterwards was fantastic, and my hair went from yellow back to the original whiter blonde in just one shampoo. It was applied and left for ten minutes- you shouldn't normally leave it on for this long as the purple can stain very porous hair, but because the build up in my hair was bad it was left longer.
According to the instructions it should be rinsed quickly, and if you leave it in you shouldn't wait longer than 2-3 minutes before rinsing. I use this product every time I wash my hair, using a VERY small amount, rinse after thirty seconds or so, and then I follow up with another brand of shampoo to make sure I have removed all of the product from my hair. Now my hair is always lovely and platinum looking!
I was VERY pleased with this product and would advise anyone to try it- it has encouraged me to try other salon brands.
