Blu-ray may be fast usurping DVD, but this collection is available for just over two quid from certain dealers. And what a great trio of films they are!
This boxset features three of Arnie's best loved movies. Most people have seen The Terminator by now, and Predator has been frequently repeated on telly, so you don't need me to tell you how frustratingly entertaining they are.
As for 'Commando' - By the gods, it is a work of genius. Sit back and watch in disbelief as Arnie runs around shooting bad guys whilst carrying the entire contents of a munitions factory in a duffel bag. Munch your way through popcorn as Arnie successfully hides in a garden shed to avoid being blown up by a battalion of soldiers. And he's got a rocket launcher on a string! The wonderful line 'Let off some steam Bennett' has now gone down in history as the thinking man's euphemism for farting like a trooper. This is true cinematic greatness. Gandhi and Titanic can sod right off.
Even without 'Total Recall' this boxset is amazing - It can't lose. If you think the films are rubbish, you can still have fun laughing at classic lines like "GET TO DUH CHOPPAH!"
Whoever came up with the idea of putting these three films together and selling them for pennies is a wonderful human being and an unsung hero.
