Schwarz Auf Weiss is an amazing collection of black and white blackbook work and digital designs from many different graffiti writers.
There is a very diverse style range- some very typically letter based graffiti and some very 'leftfield' design too. While I can't admit to having liked 100% of it, I was glad that the authors presented such a wide brief and covered lots of different aspects of modern graffiti design. It's similar in feel and physical shape and size to the Stylefile series of books Blackbook Sessions: No. 4: graffiti on paper, scribbles, outlines and full-color-stuff (Stylefile Blackbook Sessions) of which I'm also a fan, although I would say that ultimately, Schwarz Auf Weiss is moderately classier. Monokrome Monokrome: World Class Graffiti Design in Black and White is similar in feel, but a totally different size and shape and with a different agenda, choosing an interview led path, rather than primarily design. The Schwarz Auf Weiss book itself is beautifully designed and put together, printed on high quality paper and having the feeling of a high grade tome. I saw this book's original web flyer and pre-ordered it straight away, which gives you an idea about the quality of the design work. It's also great value for money...

Totally an inspiration book for all artist & graf artists that appreciate raw pencil art. The refined vector art is always a plus... Great book, gave mine away as a gift, but I do plan to get another!
