I'm not surprised. British and American publishers mistake 'burg' for 'berg' and vice versa as a matter of course. I can only imagine how many errors has been made in this book in spelling of Russian words!

It is a pity that this should detract from what is evidently a massive work of origonal research as well as synthesis. Perhaps in reading the book you could jot down any typos and pass them on to the publisher.
