This book follows `The Chastisement of Gina' as one of John Saxon's erotic chastisement stories under the Janus imprint, books that are keenly sought, and unlikely to be reprinted in the currently prevailing, surprisingly less liberal attitude to the subject matter. The books are nicely sprinkled with black-and-white photographs of callipygous young ladies undergoing chastisement by palm and bamboo. `School for Spanking' relates the experiences of a visiting Frenchman, Dupont, who is looking at the suitability of a girls' finishing school on behalf of parents. He is intrigued to discover the enthusiasm for strong discipline at the school, of the bamboo variety, and just as intrigued to find that his landlady is similarly strict with her `hired help'. He is encouraged to emulate his landlady's punitive practice, a move that demonstrates the predilection for such stimulus on the part of the young lady concerned. Dupont's investigations at the school become increasingly intimate, and he himself is even subjected to one of the chastisements that liberally populate this book.. The book is, if anything, both better constructed and more stimulating than its predecessor.
