Product Description

Series 1
A unique comedy sketch show sees children lampoon the world of adults – Bugsy Malone is back and it’s charming, audacious and genuinely groundbreaking. Meet a sexually repressed couple from the 1930s, a pair of hopeless South African security guards, a cockney cabbie with verbal diarrhea and Connie- the rudest landlady in Great Britain…

Series 2
School of Comedy is back with an extended cast made up entirely of children. See the return of all the hit characters from series one: Saffas, Museum Perv, Cabbie, The Wisecrackers and meet a raft of brand new pint-sized characters – The Sweenyfessionals, Leonard Lizzard, Blind Bitch and a full run of Mr Mills, the most inappropriate school teacher in the UK. Feel good, risqué and a touch surreal, School of Comedy continues to reinvent the good old fashioned sketch show, but with little people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible. 9 Jun 2011
Format:DVD
Although you can watch these episodes on youtube there is nothing like having them to yourself on dvd. They are absolutely brilliant, amazingly funny and well done. May appeal to a younger age group because of the age of the actors and actresses in it, but everyone must watch it, especially the south african sketch!

1.0 out of 5 stars Just Terrible 9 May 2014
Format:DVD
School of Comedy? More like School of I Didn’t Actually Laugh Even One Time.

There are many things I would have rather done than watch this DVD. One of them being putting rucksacks on agitated swans. Which I can tell you from experience is not that fun indeed.

This is advertised as a comedy DVD, but after repeatedly asking my many children if there was a smile on my face, I worked out that there most definitely was not.

I had more enjoyment watching my children cry in agony at the awfulness of this so called School of Comedy. Most of it doesn’t even take place in a School. TRUANCY! TRUANCY!!!

Me and my best friend Arnold reenacted every sketch in every episode of both series, and I can guarantee you that we were far better than the children in this abomination. We were better, but not happier.

The sketches are terrible. One of the worst sketches, by far, involved two businessmen meeting in a restaurant. It was blatantly obvious that the two businessmen were played by children. I have lost confidence in all businesses, if what this show is saying is true, and children have been hired as the CEO of businesses. I could think of a million different objects that would make a better CEO than a child, such as a sponge, wearing the E string of a guitar as a tie. Yes. That would be far better. Indeed.

There was one part of this meeting where the two businessmen discuss mergers and acquisitions, and then held hands. I have worked in mergers and acquisitions for the past 892 days, and I can promise you, there is no hand holding or other non-heterosexual activities.

I have been doing nothing but watch this show on repeat for the past 17 months, and I can tell you that I am more miserable than a midget trapped in a duvet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious 26 May 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Bought this as a Christmas pressie for my daughter. Her request, never even heard of it.

I watched Series 2 with her and considering the cast are teenagers they are so funny and very irreverent.

Something I could easily watch again and again.

Series 1 was equally funny but I think they really found their feet in the second series and I personally thought it was funnier.
