From the Manufacturer

Treat your Feet

Scholl Velvet Smooth Night Mask is a nourishing treatment for your feet that gives you softer and smoother skin in just 24 hours. The dry skin on your feet can be caused by things like ill-fitting shoes that rub, sensitive skin or even warmer weather in the summer months, leaving skin dehydrated, rough and cracked. Footcare is important for healthy feet; after all, they're with you throughout your life. With Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E, this intensive, caring and effective treatment/cream works to stimulate cell re-growth, not only giving your feet the attention they deserve, but you the confidence to take off your shoes whenever and wherever you like.

How to Use

For silky soft and smoother feet in 24 hours, simply massage into clean and dry feet before going to bed; it's ideal for use after the Velvet Smooth Express Pedi electronic foot file too, nourishing your newly exfoliated skin. Whichever you use (or both!), try wearing cotton socks after your feet's beauty routine to really lock in the moisture. Put a spring in your step with Scholl and join the feet elite.

I've not used Scholl foot creams before, though I have tried some of their other products, but this was on offer with perfect timing...though the results aren't so perfect.

I have type 2 diabetes, so make a point of paying a lot of attention and care to my feet, so I really just wanted some extra moisturising, and didn't have any cracked heels that needed pre-summer beautifying. The cream is thick and does need a bit of rubbing in, but I can't say that I've noticed much difference between this and the Scholl daily moisturiser that I am also using. When I use the cream, I do have shiny, well-cared for heels, but if I've missed it one night, by morning there are slight signs of dryness, which seems to show that this is just topical and not properly absorbed into the skin's layers.

For the price, it is on the budget end of things, but I believe you get what you pay for. I'd recommend the Boots version, or better yet, the This Works version, which is an amazing product, and which cools the feet, too, so it's brilliant for night use, especially in hot weather.

I've used overnight hard skin softener applications in the past and have always been happy with the noticeable results achieved. This Scholl product is a little different to what I have used in the past, as I've always applied the cream and then used either the disposable socks available to put on or a pair of cotton socks to wear during the night. In this case, all I needed to do was apply the cream to my clean dry feet whilst in bed.

The odourless cream itself is thick but absorbed quickly and easily into the hardened skin of my feet but my first use of this product left me disappointed. Perhaps my rough skin was just too tough to be softened without using a foot file. There was no noticeable difference after 24 hours following application so I decided to reapply the following night. Again no noticeable results were seen but I must say that 2 days later (4 days following the first application) I did note that there was an improvement to the appearance of my feet and the toughened skin on my heels certainly felt softer. I did eventually get the results I wanted from this product, but not in the time frame specified by the manufacturer. I will use this product again, but I'll pop on a pair of cotton socks after application in the hopes this helps with a quicker result.

My reaction on seeing this product was 'What's a foot mask?' Well, it's nothing like a face mask.

This is a pleasantly textured product that lies somewhere between a gel and a cream. To me the texture was very similar to a velvety BB cream, which made it very pleasant to apply. It rubbed in beautifully, with no greasy or sticky feel. Unlike a face or hair mask it doesn't have to be rinsed off following application.

However, as a long-term foot cream user, I didn't find this product gave results that were in any way exceptional. One product that does soften feet is sticky, heavy petroleum jelly; my feeling is that this product just isn't heavy enough to get into the skin and really work at softening hard skin.

It does contain urea which is known to give good results, but so does my discount chain foot cream at literally a tenth of the price.
The recommendation is that socks be worn after application at bedtime but in my experience the mask rubbed in so well that these hardly seemed necessary.
If you like a touch of novelty in your foot products you may wish to give this a try but the high price is a deterrent.

this is a good cream, unscented, and works as it should and very easy to use.
Excellent quality from a well known brand.
I put it on at night up to the ankles, over the dry heels and toes and over my nails.
It sinks and is absorbed, and it doesn't feel sticky nor greasy.
Will require repeat application, but you'll awake up in the morning with soft moisturised feet.
It takes 2 night applications to be at optimum for me.
All in all, very good and would purchase - 4 stars as requires repeat application.

This really does the job. Your feet take quite a battering: even if you are not walking on them, they are usually covering up with socks and shoes, away from the disinfectant and softening qualities of fresh air and water. This cream produces noticable effects on your feet from just one application. You will notice the skin softening, and the hard and dry areas beginning to disappear. Its a thick cream, spreads well, doesnt need a lot of massaging in. Not often you get a product that delivers so well.

Disappointed with this product. Hax used a cheaper product from scholl, the cracked heel cream, and thought that this would be more effective and found it to be an over priced version of the same tghing that wasnt any better.

I have very dry feet with hard skin on them. Lately it's been getting worse, even causing discomfort, so I've tried a few different things and so far this foot mask cream has worked the best.

I washed and dried my feet in the evening and then used a medium amount of this cream on them, massaging it in for a few minutes. Noticed a big difference in the morning and the day that followed, my feet were considerably softer. So it works better than your average 'foot softening cream' in my opinion.

Still got plenty of cream left in the bottle so will happily use again and buy more when I need it. Give it a try, recommended.
