My kids love this one, they say they can almost smell Schnitzel's basket! We have heaps of Lynley Dodd Books and they are all favourites and a must for any young library.

Loavable dachsund Schnitzel von Krumm is treated to a new basket, but he is not happy. Rhyming fun follows Schnitzel around the home in his quest to find a bed that is as comforting as his old tatty one.

We have read many Hairy Maclary books and I must say, this one about Schnitzel von Krumm is fast becoming a favourite. It is funny, the illustrations are perfect and the children like the repetition of absolutely not (or something along those lines). Another winner from Lynley Dodd. Love it, love it, love it! Most importantly, the children are totally engaged while we read this to them.
