We bought this as a joke present for my dad after squirrels took up residence in the loft! He know has it on the dash board of his car. Great little fellow! :O)
I couldn't say if its a great toy, as my dad doesn't play with it, however the tail and ears are quite pointy.

The company who made this model have obviously studied their subject, you can almost see the little fella on the grass at Regents Park (well the grey anyway), striking up this very pose. Well made.

I gave this toy a decent educational value simply because it was well detailed and my nieces suddenly wanted to learn about squirrels too (I bought a Puma as well). I bought it as a fun decoration for a cake, expecting it to be just nice enough, but it was very high quality instead. I was pleasantly suprised.

This toy is SMALL, yes, but it is designed to capture a child's imagination, and to fit into their hands. My kids loved it precisely because it was small. If you want something bigger, go for the gray squirrel with the acorn in its mouth. That one is more than twice as large as this one.
Ours is now in a plant terrarium and is the perfect accent. We love it!
