This nice hipo does not look pink in real life as it does in the picture.
Is done to scale with the elephant , the lion and the Rhino , so they look good together.

I don't know where they got the model used in the photograph, maybe she was camera shy & blushing. These models are not bright pink other than in their mouth and the odd highlight around ears and a mostly grey belly. Jolly durable as all the would-be vulnerable parts have a bit of 'give' in them. Mine is stamped 'made in Germany' which was a nice surprise.

Schleich toys are not cheap but are durable and extremely realistic. Obviously you need more than 1 for them to be fun.
