Like a lot of parents I have a very inquisitive son who loves all things Dinosaur.
The Schleich range of Dinosaurs are excellent, really well detailed made from a high quality and importantly (for 3 year olds!) durable plastic.
I bought several from the range and my son loves them and will no doubt last him for years.
One word of caution, if you are thinking of buying several dinosaurs at once especially those recommended on Amazon, make sure the ranges are compatable.
The 14XXX range (from which the Velociraptor came) is significantly smaller than the 'scaled' 16XXX range also available from Schleich. I made this error and ended up sending the larger range back as I felt the relative sizing was important.
Anyway, they make lovely toys and would highly recommend them.

It may not be anatomically accurate but who cares, this little toy is great fun - it has the perfect pose to be placed in humorous situations wherever you go. Particularly useful for balancing off the edge of a pint glass as the claws on its arms are angled perfectly to grip the edge. It may take a bit of wrestling but you can also get it into toy clothes if they're baggy enough to go over the arms. Only downside is that the head is not quite wide enough to accommodate a top hat, it keeps falling off.
