By Mr. Mark A. Meldon TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Like volume one Scherchen Conducts Beethoven, Vol 1, this Tahra 2-CD set contains excellent transfers of recordings Hermann Scherchen made for Nixa/Westminster in the 1950s. Rather than merely repeat my previous review, I would note that this set contains September 1954 recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in symphonies 5, Op.67 and 8, Op.93 and with the Vienna State Opera Orchestra of symphonies 6, Op.68 and 7, Op.92 from July 1951.

All great stuff, excellently transferred by Tahra!
