This 4th edition contains Euro references, gone are Pfunds and Schillings. It also includes the "controversial German Orthographic Reform" - new spellings to you and me! That's the only difference. An excellent revision, learning tool, just plough on through the exercises and your Grammar, the heart of the language, will blossom. Sorry, but there's no easy way.

German grammar is always tricky, and was a major bugbear to me when I was at school, struggling with the A level course. Because of this, I was really pleased to spot this on the recent Vine list.
The Schaum's Grammar books have had a fantastic reputation for many years - indeed I have used them in the past to support my Spanish learning. I have very much benefitted from use of this book recently to support my revision of German Grammar (and vocabulry too!) and can highly recommend it to anyone who is at all serious in their desire to acquire a better understanding of this tricky subject!

I've used Shaum's outlines before, and they are always concise, to-the-point, but fairly comprehensive in their coverage. This new edition goes a long way to improve the layout of previous editions, making the material even clearer and easier to follow. The learning material itself covers German grammar points from the very basic (gender, present tense) to much more advanced topics (passive voice, subjunctive), and each explanation is followed by well thought-out exercises to consolidate what you have learnt / revised. The points are presented in a no-nonsense way, not too wordy, with plenty of examples. All the answers are given at the back, making this book the perfect companion for home study, or supplementing your learning on your own without a tutor.
Absolutely brilliant for students of German post-GCSE, from A-level to university - I can't recommend it more.
