1.0 out of 5 stars mission failed 25 Oct 2001
This DVD (at least according to the package) promises to show scenes of Scotland supported by Scottish music. Well, it certainly does exactly this, but it's far too much that is squeezed into less than two hours, missing out eg. on the Orkneys.
The film material used is very often not sharp and sometimes looks like it was filmed by an amateur. What makes it even worse is the fact that the music doesn't always fit the pictures, ie. sometimes we can see pictures of bagpipe music at Highland Games, but we have to listen to totally different music - this looks like a film was dubbed very badly.
PS The only star is for the Simple Minds video, which is just great!

4.0 out of 5 stars Scenic Scotland 26 Aug 2009
The views in this DVD really are stunning. Also, the pipe music is enjoyable and fitting. I've given this DVD 4 stars rather than 5 as I felt a little too much emphasis was placed on Highland and mountainous scenes, whereas there were none from the Borders or the Galloway area. Also, Edinburgh is included twice and Glasgow not at all ... hmm, perhaps I should demote it to a 3-star rating?
