AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ 25 May 2011
By adele
Format:Kindle Edition
I only downloaded as was free but from the first page was hooked. Its a bit like the tv programme Ghost Whisperer, but she is a teenager and can hear rather than see the ghosts.

If you enjoy this and want more he has written a sequel, Stalking Shadows, which can be found on his web page which I am currently reading, my kids and hubby are not too happy about this as I am hogging my laptop as the sequel is not currently available to download :( lol I would definitely recommend this book for both teens and adults who enjoy this genre

This novel sees Mary struggle to cope with her gift and deal with life at school as she portrays a scary goth image to hide behind, she lives with her grandmother who has her own gifts which result into making a home for a ghost dog and one or two other unpleasant spirits that could prove to be a real pain.

Mary is amused to learn a new student is showing interest in her not an easy person to befriend she lets her guard down this once and finds she enjoys the attention. When things become difficult Mary finds her loyal friends stand by.

Marys has a strong sense of right and wrong, this shine's through with heartache along the way. An enjoyable few hours, which left me wanting to hear more of Scary Mary a girl with inner strength which she comes to use time and again. The author has left me wanting to hear more of Mary, the sequel is just as enjoyable.

Aimed at young adults this novel form fourteen to to seventy would enjoy!

A good read
A decent free download. Once I started reading it I did get curious and continued through until the end. It's only a short story so doesn't take long to read. Read more

Not a bad little read at all, aimed at the teenage market, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Not too long either,so won't get bored with it before finishing. Read more

I found this to be a good book but not a very challenging one. It's a bit predictable but a good read nonetheless.

A decent little freebie
I have to say, I wasn't exactly feeling super encouraged by the blurb. The mention of "jocks" and "cheerleaders" had me grimacing. Read more

Guilty pleasure
Seemed targeted at a teenage reader, but I thoroughly enjoyed it - a bit of a guilty pleasure, like the Twilight Books, an enjoyable and humourous quick read.

predictable cliche
Read it a few hours. Found that I ended up skipping through pages towards the end as I knew what was going to happen.
The characters were obvious and cliche. Read more

Listen you egotistical, testosterone deluded, wanna-be big man: I am NOT nothing. I dont care what you think or what anyone else thinks and thats what makes me special. You, on the other hand, pander to anyone or anything if you think that will make you more accepted. Its so pathetic and stupid. They should make people like you ride the short bus. "e;

the radiance of your smile completely undoes me. One little look from you sends me into fits of rapture. My entire universe hinges on your every whim. "e;

It always worked for the guy in the fairytales. The damsel always married the hero, and they lived happily ever after. Fairytales were sexist, and the real world was unfair. "e;
