I bought these for my wife's birthday. They were not cheap, however the look on my wife's face when she opened her present was priceless - she loves them. Some people did wright some scary reviews on the web regarding plates not meeting and no on/off button - there is an on/off button and the plates never met on my wife's old Morphy Richards straighteners. Anyway, the wife's verdict: very nice, very straight hair.

My husband brought these for me for Christmas , however he had to give them to me because my White GHD I've owned for four years started to smell and the ceramic coating on the plates had chipped and was pulling at my hair. So I am the proud owner of these scarlet special edition. They are the usual high quality of GHD nice red plates with sparkly bits on a jet black straightener body, they have the same ability to turn off if you forget ,great peace of mind and safety feature, they Also come in a lovely red satin zipped bag with a heat resistant mat to leave them on to cool. They also have a plate shield for travel and two GHD hair clips. The outer box is also very glamourous and to good to throw out, the word GHD is in silver bling on the out Side of the black and red box that has one side that flips down nice touch and I love them. They feel thinner and lighter than my old White from 2007 and my very first black pair from 2003, and they have a thinner rounder plate finish compared to the fatter rounded ends of the White ones.so they felt a little different at first but after a couple of days am used to them. 5 out of 5 and buy them you will love them if you like bling.

I bought these to replace my old Ghd's which sadly stopped working after six years of daily use. I decided as it Christmas I would treat myself to a limited edition set rather than just the normal set and I am so so glad that I picked the Scarlet Collection. They really are gorgeous right from the box they come in. the luxury heat protective bag is in red satin with a silver clasp with little fake diamonds round it and is so lovely that you will want to display this. The straighteners are black with little dots all over which change colour when they catch the light, the heat plates are in red and as you would expect from ghd these straighteners and really well made. They feel lighter than my old ones which is a positive when styling your hair. These heat up in 30 seconds with a little light displaying ghd on the on/off switch, they glide through your hair with no snagging at all. My hair looked a million dollars after using these with a gorgeous shine, my mum even asked if I had been at the hairdressers that day!! These switch off automatically after 30 minutes of non use which for me is a God send as I usually have to turn the car around just to make sure I did switch them off which I always have!! I can't recommend these straighteners enough and as you would expect from ghd the quality is top class. After shopping around I found Amazon to be offering the best deal on these and I opted for next day delivery which all went without a hitch. I registered these on the ghd site just to ensure that these were the real deal (which they are) and that ghd had a note of these if anything should go wrong. I am one highly delighted customer.
