Bought this for a friend who writes daily journals because it looked so unique. The leather had a very strong unusal smell; which I managed to reduce with perfume and polish. The face protrudes out quite a bit more than I expected.Strong structure and fastener and good paper quality.

Beautiful hand crafted leather journal, very well made with a secure lock. The pages are a little thin and unlined but I did not find this an issue, especially since it probably allowed for more pages. There is a beautiful old style map at the front and back, and the pages are also an aged creme colour, which adds to the feel of the journal. Well worth the money I paid!
