This was smaller than I expected so I bought the 1.5 litre pan as well. I have had this series of scanpan pots before and knew that I loved the non stick finish. This one did not disappoint. Currently I mainly use it for poaching my breakfast egg but it is great for sauces when you don't want to make huge amounts. Doesn't stick and so easy to wash up with afterwards

just as wanted, right size for heating up baked beans, etc. Cleans really easily - have bought the bigger size and this one fits nicely on top. Hopefully will soon have more, as they are all brilliant.

It can't be destroyed! 1 Jan. 2001
By David O'Donnell - Published on Amazon.com
I went to dinner one night, forgetting that I had left pasta on the stove to boil. It wasn't until I asked for the check, that OMG, the PASTA IS STILL ON! I went racing home certain that my house would be on fire. The house was smoke filled, and pasta, well, it was quite black for about 1/2 inch on the bottom. I turned over the pan, most of it fell out. I stuck the hot pan under the water (like the instructions say to do, after cooking, not burning of course)used the metal scrubby that comes with some of the pans, and I'll be hanged if it still didn't look brand new. Do you know why I bought the pan, it was on sale, and I was replacing a circulon that I had left eggs on to boil. That pan was totally ruined and I had given it to the kids to use in the sand pit.

ScanPan absolutely the best 6 Oct. 2006
By D. Thornton - Published on Amazon.com
It wasn't easy to pony up $500 for 5 pans & 4 lids. But that was 17 years ago and my ScanPans are still almost like new. I will admit the skillets do stick a little. These wonderful pans have cost me less than $6 a year to own. They can't be beat(up).

Highly recommend 10 Nov. 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
I have one of the starter sets of ScanPan and I'm very pleased with it. It is so easy to wash, and unlike most good pots, it's not insanely heavy and the handles aren't stupidly made of metal. It was also rated #1 by Consumer Reports.

Owned my set for 20+ years 28 Dec. 2013
By Heather Kelley - Published on Amazon.com
I had an original set of Scanpan Classic pans with a faulty finish. They were a gift from my grandmother, so I wasn't aware they had a warranty. My sister was working at a cooking store and she mentioned they had a warranty, so I inquired and Scanpan replaced all the pans about 15 years ago - no questions or paperwork asked.

Fast forward to this November and my 3 Qt saucepan was pitting. I called Scanpan and they gave me an RMA number and I sent the pan back and received a new one (including the new style lid) in 2 weeks (over Thanksgiving). Again, no receipt asked (but I may be in their system).

I simply haven't had the issues others are complaining about. Scanpan customer service is professional, and the pans do perform as advertised. I even put mine in the dishwasher from time to time. Don't use high heat on any of your high-end cookware - you simply don't need to (the pan and food won't burn and you'll save energy too).

Daniel 13 Nov. 2010
By Daniel Thompson - Published on Amazon.com
I learned from TV news that the traditional non-stick Teflon coating cookware can break down under heat or scratch off and cause cancer. Therefore, I have not been using them at all. I had changed to all stainless steel cookware last year. However, the food stick and can got darken easily (also cancer causing) and I have to use a lot of oil for cooking. I then saw there are ceramic coating pans on the market. I bought a few of the Scanpan ceramic titanium coating pans and also a few of the Healthy Legend ceramic coating pans and pots with the German ceramic coating call Greblon. They are both very good even they are expensive. Overall, I think the Healthy Legend cookware is slightly better and the non-stick property works better after some use. There is other on the market but their prices are even more.
