Reasonable price mainly because it does its job well. I'm not fond of paying money for garbage as I have with cheap supermarket non-sticks. As soon as this arrived, I washed it mildly with soapy water, per instructions, and I fried an egg on it, sans oil. Did not stick one bit. Still using it with success. It says you can use it for searing, due to their proprietary method of making the non-stick, but I still avoid it as a rule of thumb. Same goes with the use of metal utensils on it. I bought a Cuisinart ceramic that sticks only little, unlike this one that the fried egg just slid right off. The only reason it gets 4 stars, it still has PTFE. I wanted some without teflon, which is Dupont's PTFE compoound, and this said ceramic left and right, then a special titanium ceramic non-stick, then after buying, yeah my mistake, I managed to find FAQs where it said it uses PTFE, but is free of PFOA.
