I purchased the U280 Car Scanner Reader to diagnose an engine misfire on my
2001 VW Golf 1.6 SE.
The scanner,I found, was very easy to use,and displayed a code indicating a misfire on cylinder No 3.This fault I duly repaired by replacing a defective pencil coil,and the car is now running perfectly.
The unit was then able to erase the trouble code very easily,and thereby extinguish all the dash warning lights.
I would recommend the scanner without hesitation,and it has already paid for itself on just the initial use.

I bought this for my Skoda Fabia 2009 but found (in the meantime) that it only works for vehicles 1996 to 2003. From 2004 onwards you will need the U281. This is not spelled out in the description. I tried to return it for the U281 and included the additional payment with my returned parcel. BV Electronics eventually refunded my payment but took a lot of chasing.

Bought for any emergencies that may crop up in the future! A sturdy little bit of kit, which works perfectly and is extremely easy to use. Allows you to scan for engine codes, SRS airbag codes, Auto Transmission codes and ABS codes. Comes with an easy to follow instruction booklet and a comprehensive list of fault codes - both generic and model specific. Also allows deletion of MIL (Engine Management), Airbag and Service lights. A must-buy for the price! Highly recommended.

This product worked first time out of the box. Display was slightly different to the manual but once that was sussed was easy to use. Very useful for airbag fault code removal!
